Birthday Party Fun!

Happy birthday Kenny and Ashley!

I can't believe Kenny is 9 already! He's so tall and handsome and such a smart and talented boy! We love you Kenny! Thank you for being our awesome son!

And Ashley is our funny, monkey princess girl! 4 years old and so full of wise observations, funny sayings and drama! Happy birthday Ashley! We love you!

We try to take the kids out every Sunday to do some witnessing along with an excursion to some fun or educational place. For the kids witnessing last weekend we went to a senior citizens home. They passed out tracts and gave hugs and talked to the sweet people there. They were an instant hit and very bold and talkative.

Alvin and the chip monks

The boys recently saw the kids movie Alvin and the chip monks and they really liked it. So much so they made some instruments and were singing the theme song through out family day. So we made a VDO clip of it. Here it is.

Labor day parade

On Saturday we went to Boerne to watch the labor day parade. It was great fun and a new experience for the kids to see all the different floats and exhibitions they had on display.

Someone gave me some cherry filled chocolates not too long ago and since I don't like cherry flavored things, we gave them to the kids for a shiner prize. At the time Ashley didn't like them and said she didn't care for cherries either.
Later on she came to me and said, "Mom, do you have any more cherry chocolates?" and I said, "No. I thought you didn't like them." and she said, "Well, I'm learning to like them and I think I need to practice!"

We were at the park having a picnic with the kids and there was a group close by at another table eating. A woman at the table sneezed and Ashley piped up in a very loud voice, "Mom, is that woman sneezing because she has the SWINE FLU?" Chad and I both just about died with embarassment and laughter at the same time. Kids sure know how to keep you humble :D.
