Since we are living in San Antonio, we decided we should at some point visit the Alamo since that is the most noteworthy historical site around. So we made a family day outing of it last week. We printed out the history of the Alamo, which we read to the kids on the drive there. They were very interested in it and it made the whole experience a lot more educational for them since they understood all about it when we were looking around.

The Alamo is right down town and in a neat part of town. There's a beautiful river walk. The river is more like a canal actually with restaurants and cafe's on both sides with bridges across. We all had fun watching the tour boats go by and watching the ducks in the river on our way to the Alamo.

Well, for all you who've been waiting to hear what baby is, we found out today. Today I had an ultrasound and got to see our little girl. Yes, that's right, it's a girl! Yay! Take a look at this pic, isn't it amazing how good the machines are these days?

Mike and Donna were passing through San Antonio on their way to South Africa to begin their exciting missionary adventure. We were able to spend the evening with them which was a lot of fun. We caught up on each others lives and heard all about their vision and goal for Africa.
Please do keep them in your prayers as they look for housing and establish their team.
The children were able to see two of our baby goats just minutes after they were born. It was an interesting experience for them. The little goats were walking around right away and one of them had a very loud bleat and sounded just like a baby crying. It was so cute!

The kids on an outing to see the Veggie Tale movie, "The Pirates who don't do Anything" at the theater.

On Sunday our home did it's first monthly BBQ for friends who want to come over. There wasn't a huge turn out, seing as it was the first one, but it was lots of fun anyway.
