Day at the lake Austin 360 statepark

We ran up to Austin where a friend has a boat and we did the wakeboarding thing. It was sweet, the water there is apprantly like glass all the time. There were 100s of wakeboarders out there on a monday.

II could get used to this. I wanna make better friends with these Guys. ;-)

Great day out of the lake. Did two 20 min slots in the water, Enjoied every minute.

Sailing on the lake last weekend

This last family day, we decided to have a BBQ and pull out the boats. So we invited a couple of other families in the area. Tim was able to come with his kids and brought his cute little 13ft guppie sailboat along. In all there were about 15 kids and 11 adults and we had a great day of fun by the Boerne lake.

Here I am proudly showing off my handywork. I painted it myself (much cheaper than hiring someone). We named the boat the "Flying Dutchmen".

Here we are are at the dock ready to push off. You can see Tim and his boat on the right, it has a cute little cabin.

Sails up and ready to go! The boys wanted to put a pirate flag on the boat, you can see the little one up top. Kenny can't get enough of the boat. Alan is still unsure and gave it a try for like 2 minutes. Ashy went out for an hour and loved every minute of it. She is my little sailor girl. She even jumped off the boat and swam around it when we stopped out in the middle of the lake.

In all we had a great day. The weather was perfect for sailing with kids. Like 8 to 12 mile an hour winds. It was hot and Kenny got a bit of a burn. We will do it again in the near future. I still have my eye on taking it down to Corpus and sailing it out on the ocean, maybe in the fall once the weather cools down and we can camp on the beach.

Jojo makes all sorts of funny faces. She's got this new face now that she makes every time you touch her nose, especially with water. It's like she's a toy, it's so automatic and everyone in the home laughs and laughs and presses her nose all day.

New Nursery

We just finished a big renovation project on three rooms in the house. Someone donated really nice quality tiles to put down on the floor and the guys worked hard to refinish the walls and build nice closets in the bedrooms.

One of the rooms is now our nursery and since this is the first time that I've painted any wall murals in many years, I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of how it turned out.

Trip to Six Flags, San Antonio

James (of Cristina) and their kids invited us to go to Six Flags with them. So Kenny, Alan and myself went to check it out. The water park part of the park was closed but there were still many more amusements and games. We spent the whole day there and the boys had a blast.

Kenny, Alan and Shelly.

Thankfully we went on a weekday when there were not as many people and the lines were not very long for each ride. Apparently on weekends the lines get to be 30 to 45mins. long.

Alan and Kenny about to start their bumper car rides.

The boys had a blast on the bumper cars and wanted to do them over and over again.

Shelly (of James and Christina) breaking forth in song.
We took a roller coaster ride and it made me sick to the stomach instantly, so we rode the relaxing train around the park for 15 mins. to recover.
The place was massive and it took us all day to try out the different rides and see all the sights.

Here we are on the kiddie cars Alan and kenny really though they were neat.

Meet the team: James, Steven, Shelly, Kenny and Alan.

On the ferris wheel
Kenny went on the gas powered go-carts, I didn't know how he would do, but he had a great time and handled the go-cart without a problem. He finished last, but was pretty happy for having figured it out.
In all we had a great day. And the best part was it was all for free!
Thanks so much James for inviting us along.

Trip to Enchanted Rock

Here is a little update of a fun outing we did with the kids to a place called Enchanted rock, its this huge of dome of pink granite. And we all climbed to the top and had a great day playing around up there. Check out the pictures.

It was pretty steep climbing up, I had the job of pushing Jo-jo up in the stroller. God bless me.

There was all sorts of neat rock formations up there, including this massive footprint.

It had just rained so there were all there depressions in the surface of the rock that had turned to little wading pools.

My awesome kids that am I am so proud of.

There was a spot on the top of the rock where the soil had collected and the flowers had grown it made for a handy spot for picture taking.

Jo-jo enjoyed the flowers very much. Quite literally in fact.

Kenny and Jade.

Here we are on our way down.

The boys and their RC boats

We went to the Boerne lake again last family day to play with the remote control boats. Kenny had the whole thing planned out. All we had to do was get the boys to the lake. They had a great time.
