On Sunday our home did it's first monthly BBQ for friends who want to come over. There wasn't a huge turn out, seing as it was the first one, but it was lots of fun anyway.

A cool answer to prayer

I just wanted to post something really neat that happened today. For people that this happens to all the time, it might not seem so special, but it was such an encouragement to us.
To give a little background, we have this donated classroom building on our property here that was used several years ago to teach Family children, but since there has only been two kids in the home it hasn't been used in a few years. With more kids now in the home, we need to use the classrooms again. The teachers and I made a list of things we need to fix up in there and also a whole lot of supplies we need to have a cool classroom set up for the kids.
We've been looking into getting the kids next years school books along with everything else and we just weren't sure where all the funding for this was going to come from as we didn't have a budget for it.
Well we really prayed and have been looking around for second hand books as well as a computer, furniture, etc. for the school house. One of the places we looked was on 'Craigslist', it's a place online where people advertise things they want to sell. This woman had posted on Craigslist that she had some Abeka books that she was selling and I called her up and we went to see her today.
She turned out to be an awesome woman, a real active Christian full of testimonies of things that the Lord has done in her life. She has six children and has homeschooled them for nine years. She had a little house on her property that was her school house and had just a ton of awesome school supplies that she wasn't using anymore.
After swapping testimonies and talking about our missionary work and the place we are trying to set up, she offered to donate everything to us. She gave us hundreds of dollars worth of school supplies, a computer for the kids, furniture, etc., etc.
It was such an encouragement to us and a real answer to prayer. We have a ways to go to get it totally set up, but this is a big start and an encouragement that the Lord is going to do it.
