And the cousins came to visit.

Here are a couple of pictures from the time that Aaron and Joanne came to visit. We had a great time together. On one of the days they were here we all went to the Alamo. Here are a couple of pics from that day.

I hope you like the pictures Mom. I am putting them up for you, since you asked for a couple more from their visit here.

Ashy and Justin got along well, however Kenny and Kevin where instant bosom buddies and engaged in all sorts of mischief right away.

Please keep Aaron and Joanne and their kids in your prayers, as they live in Mexico city which is the epicenter of this new swine flu epidemic.

Hurray we finally got the playset

We have been searching for a playset for the past year and we have looked at many. Finally we found this one at a good price. It needed a little work. So we went to work.

Alan hard at work, or wait more like hardly working. He actually really got into it and helped alot.

Here we are putting the bottom half together, And yes, Jason and Kevin and parents were visiting. (more pics of their visit in the next update.)

Kevin installing the slide.

The finished product, with all the happy builders.

visiting the San Antonio Missions

There is a number of little known Spanish missions here in San Antonio. So we have been visiting the different ones cause the kids have been studying the local history. Here are the pics.

Each mission had its own little history display the boys took in all the information at each spot.

The missions are about 200 years old, but they maintain them quite well.

My devoted little catholics. ;-)

Figuring out the history, layout of the place.

Old archway that looked like it was going to fall on our heads. But it held up nicely for the picture.

You can see the interesting spanish/moorish mix of design. Check out this door looks like something we should have found in Morocco.

Here are a couple of pictures of a unique auqaduct that supplied the water to one of the missions. Apprantly this is the only one in the US.

They had these neat bass reliefs of each of these missions and the lay outs of the ruins in miniture that the kids really thought were cool. Come to think of it i thought they were pretty neat too.
